Landscape Architecture - Bachelors
Kurilpa Point was originally known as the “Place of Water-Rats”, being named after the native water rat "Kuril”. The project introduces a linear park that stretches along the Brisbane River.
Amelia Chin is an aspiring landscape architect and a part-time artist. She is always curious about her surroundings and how space influences its users. Her style of design revolves around both simplicity and functionality as she is a firm believer in "less is more". As no landscape is a tabula rasa, she aims to create meaningful landscapes that are accessible, adaptable, and fun by preserving, developing as well as regenerating landscapes with respect to the history of the land.
